Daniel Bryan and the Wyatt Family? That Would Never Work!

First let me say the presence of the Wyatt Family is the best most awesome, scary, cool, creepy, exciting, eerie existence since the Undertaker entered in the early 1990s. Yes, the WWE has
tried to replicate the mysterious, spine-chilling, phenomena of the Undertaker, but to no avail (we will save that chat for a later date). But as an avid Undertaker fan I must say the Wyatt family’s mysteriousness is well-delivered, their backwoods background is believable, and their characters are interesting, multi-layered and downright scary. I actually want to know how Harper and Rowan got with Bray Wyatt, I think they could have their own “Scary Movie”; I’m pretty sure. Bray Wyatt makes this stable a scene from your favorite horror movie every time he appears in that damned rocking chair.  So, despite Daniel Bryan Rasputin-like beard, here’s why he could never truly be a part of the Wyatt family.

Firstly, the WWE has worked too hard making Daniel Bryan a face in the WWE. Bryan joining the Wyatt family would undo all of the WWE’s hard work. If Bryan became a legitimate member of the Wyatt Family, what would he do after that? Could his career survive him being at the mercy of a mid-card wrestler like Bray Wyatt? Granted when Edge and Christian were low-mid card wrestlers they joined the Ministry of Darkness under the Undertaker and later catapulted their careers; but Daniel Bryan has already headlined WWE Pay-Per-View events and already has made a name for himself in the company. The bottom line is…how does the joining the Wyatt Family benefit Daniel Bryan’s career? Better yet, how does Daniel Bryan joining the Wyatt family benefit the WWE, at all??  If Daniel Bryan was the leader of his own stable it would be a different story but for fans to see Bryan bow down to someone who has less of a career than him doesn’t seem too promising for Bryan or the WWE.
Next, Daniel joining and assimilating with the Wyatt’s confuses our picture of the Wyatt Family. We know too much about Daniel Bryan, that he’s a vegan, he’s engaged Brie Bella, that he was trained by Shawn Michaels, and that he “hugged it out” with Kane. None of this equates to the backwoods cult of the Wyatt Family or the Sheep Mask that Erick Rowan wears. Plus, I’m pretty sure that the Wyatt’s eat all sorts of meat-- cow, pig, cat, dog, people… (I’m Just Saying). Daniel being a member of the Wyatt Family demystifies and desensitizes us of the Wyatt clan. Besides, when the Undertaker debuted, he didn’t join the Ultimate Warrior and become a tag team duet, rather, he feuded with the Warrior in what became one of the epic battles that defined the Undertaker’s career.
Lastly, Daniel Bryan joining the Wyatt Family leaves no hope for the WWE Universe. If the Wyatt Family could swallow Daniel Bryan whole and convert him to their clan who would be next and who would stop them? Wouldn’t that leave the Wyatt family to run rapid throughout the WWE? All of the current faces: John Cena, CM Punk, etc. are all entangled in their own storylines. Daniel Bryan as a member of the Wyatt’s leaves them without an enemy and it leaves the WWE Universe with no hope that good will overcome evil.
Now that Daniel Bryan has turned on the Wyatt’s I am even more anxious to see this feud unfold. What will happen next? Daniel said he wanted to expose the weakness of the Wyatt Family and that he did. But on a serious note…will he now shave his beard? No seriously, it’s getting hard for me to look at him and not wonder if there’s food buried in that thing! Anyway, will Bryan destroy the Wyatt Family singlehandedly? I think he might, which I think will prove to be a brilliant decision that will make Daniel one of the most important superstars of this current era. This feud makes the anticipation for the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View stronger as we all want to see who will reign supreme when Bryan takes on the matriarch of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt.

Till I write Again…

SummerSlam 1988 – Since we are just a few weeks away from SummerSlam 2012, I believe it is only appropriate to take a look at the very first one.

Long before I was born, okay two years before I was born, but long before I was thought of I’m sure, there was the great SummerSlam 1988. This is the historic night that set the precedent for the subsequent 22 almost 23 SummerSlams. What were the matches on that night? I’m glad you asked! The British Bulldogs (The late Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid) vs. The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond), this tag team match ended in a draw. Okay Answer for 1000 points, who are the Fabulous Rougeaus? Don’t worry I’ll wait. Buzz!!! The Fabulous Rougeaus were a tag team, duh! They were in the WWE for a short time but Jacques went on to become one half of the very popular Quebecers. Okay semi-popular Quebecers. But hey they were three time WWE tag team champions, three more than the Rockers. But in comparison to popularity…I guess championships really don’t matter *shrugs shoulders*. The late Bad News Brown defeated Ken Patera. Both of these wrestlers won competitive ...

The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

HBK came down to the ring first. The fans clamored to get pictures of HBK...to be honest I would be too. Shawn is still in great shape, now he is the heartbreak grandpa. HHH came out next with a mask on but without the fanfare I expected. He came to the ring pretty fast and it was a pretty basic HHH entrance. He does have new ring gear which is nice. The Melbourne crowd loved HHH. Kane then came to the ring. I love how his name shows up when he walks to the ring it's pretty cool. The Undertaker's entrance of course was epic. All you saw were phones everywhere as fans attempted to snap pictures of the Deadman. The Undertaker looked great in his entrance and brought presence and prestige to the night. (Except for the gray on the sides...Undertaker I never want to see a another gray hair on your head). Fans complain about the older wrestlers taking the spotlight but the Undertaker's presence gives a PPV that extra push that makes it a classic. The match was no disq...
