Six Reasons Why SummerSlam 1994 is My Favorite SummerSlam

6. I was four years old.

In 1994, I was only four years old. But, I was an avid wrestling fan with a die-hard devotion to Bret Hart and the Undertaker. Both of my favorite superstars were on the card in singles competition...and that made me very very happy.

5. The Super Sleuths

In the quest to find the "Real Undertaker" Leslie Nielson and George Kennedy were hired to track him down. This was a very entertaining comedy sketch that I loved as a kid. I remember going to the video store and renting SummerSlam 1994 over and over again just to see the comedy skits these two did. It was the best thing ever as a four-year-old to see so much legitimate comedy in wrestling.

4. The Hart Family's Involvement

The Hart Family had a huge involvement in the pay per view as part of the Bret Hart v. Owen Hart story angle. I have always been a family oriented person, even as a child, and it made me so excited that a large chunk of the Hart family was at ringside. Hey, it also brings a smile to my face today. :)

3. The Survivor Serious Promo

Okay, Okay, looking back at it...the Survivor Series Promo was soo cheesy. But, four-year-old Brittney loved it! The Survivor Series Promo had grunts groans and referenced turkey and stuffing. I think it was perfect for a four-year-old.

2. Bret Hart v. Owen Hart
I think this match and this angle is why I cried when my mom found out she was pregnant with my little brother when I was six years old. I always had been an avid Bret Hart fan and seeing him fight his younger brother was so awesome. It was like a look into the life of my favorite wrestler, and I saw not only is Bret excellent, but his entire family is incredible. Not to mention this is one of the best matches in WWE history. This match is a classic and made four years old Brittney smile.

1. Undertaker v. Undertaker
I know everyone thinks I am crazy because many wrestling analysts describe this as one of the Undertaker's worst matches...next to his WrestleMania IX bout with Giant Gonzalez. However, I loved this match it was an attraction match. I watched this match over and over again. I was so invested in this match at four years old I would come home from school just to watch it again.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

HBK came down to the ring first. The fans clamored to get pictures of HBK...to be honest I would be too. Shawn is still in great shape, now he is the heartbreak grandpa. HHH came out next with a mask on but without the fanfare I expected. He came to the ring pretty fast and it was a pretty basic HHH entrance. He does have new ring gear which is nice. The Melbourne crowd loved HHH. Kane then came to the ring. I love how his name shows up when he walks to the ring it's pretty cool. The Undertaker's entrance of course was epic. All you saw were phones everywhere as fans attempted to snap pictures of the Deadman. The Undertaker looked great in his entrance and brought presence and prestige to the night. (Except for the gray on the sides...Undertaker I never want to see a another gray hair on your head). Fans complain about the older wrestlers taking the spotlight but the Undertaker's presence gives a PPV that extra push that makes it a classic. The match was no disq...

The New Day vs. The Bar - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

The show opened up surprisingly with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship title match. This is the second time the SmackDown Tag Team Championship has been the show opener. They were on the pre-show last PPV which technically is a dark match but it was still the first match the fans saw of the night. I am not sure what this means, perhaps the WWE just wants the New Day opening up their PPV's from now on. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as a pairing is just amazing. Their intro tag team sequence was absolutely lightening. Both of them are so coordinated and agile. Kofi shows why he is one of the best tag team champions of all time. Really great showing by these two. Sheamus and Cesaro are good but honestly not as good as Kingston and Woods. At least not as a tag team. However, they play to their strengths which is power, heel tactics and viciousness.  Of course, anyone that uses the Sharp Shooter is near and dear to my heart. I am sure that is homage to Cesaro's friend Tyson...

WWE Super Show-Down Predictions #WWE #SuperShowDown

WWE Super Show-Down will take place in Australia this weekend. While many say that it is a glorified house show, I do not think it is. I think the WWE will use this show to lay the groundwork for Evolution, Crown Jewel, and Survivor Series while simultaneously building bigger storylines. For instance, there are rumors of Kurt Angle's return and Asuka and Dean Ambrose's heel turn. Bobby Lashley and John Cena vs. Elias and Kevin Owens This is an easy match to predict. Cena and Lashley will get the win here. This will likely be the show opener so John Cena can give a big speech welcoming the crowd and exciting them for the night's matches. This will be clear-cut and simple. Delighting the Australian fans while also showing Cena's dominance in his return.  Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy  WWE Cruiserweight Championship  This match is the biggest toss up on the card. While many fans criticize WWE Super Show-Down as a glorified house show; the WWE ...
