Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson , and Kenny Omega ( The Elite ) serve as AEW’s Executive Vice Presidents. This was initially part of AEW’s appeal. Fans and wrestlers felt that they would have a unique voice because wrestlers were helping to run the company. However, several former wrestling executive-level personnel warned that this would eventually become a problem. The naysayers were right. It has long been rumored that The Elite has had backstage issues with other wrestlers. This would mean that The Elite’s backstage issue with CM Punk is not a singular incident. It has been alleged by several in the wrestling business that The Elite pushed Cody Rhodes out of AEW and that The Elite has done their part in hindering the growth and success of FTR.
