The Era of the Maharaja #JinderMahal #WWE #Maharaja #SmackdownLive

The win of the Maharaja further establishes the NEW ERA of the WWE, which for now will be warmly acknowledged as the Era of the Maharaja

Say what you want about Mahal, (he has gyno, he does not deserve the push, he has poor mic skills..etc.,) it does not matter. He is the WWE Champion. He went from jobber to WWE Champion in six months. Who has done that in the WWE? Not mid carder, but a real jobber. He was such a jobber he was in a jobber faction...3MB. Not only that but the entire faction was destroyed by Brock Lesnar upon his return. Mahal went from the lowest rung in WWE to the highest. That deserves praise. I have checked out his Instagram he is dedicated to his body, so I am not sure steroids are the answer to his physique. Side note: he always had gyno…from his debut to chubby days he always had a little man boob

Mahal’s sudden elevation to WWE Champion demonstrates that WWE is willing to give new talent a shot. Perhaps it is because pay-per-views are cheaper and there is less pressure to satisfy fans. Whatever the reason, Mahal is benefiting from it. This is what WWE should be about. It should be a place where someone like Mahal can come, rise to the top and prove himself.  I hope he does prove himself and becomes the super heel we all know he can be.

This tide change brings a new excitement to the WWE Championship. Let's be real Orton's title reign was a snoozefest. I stopped tuning into SmackDown once he became champion because it was a "meh" title reign. We have seen this exact same title reign 11 other times. Orton refuses to evolve and it does nothing but stale the title.

Mahal, on the other hand, has revamped the WWE title picture and created a new intrigue for fans. This is a beautiful thing as we all want to see something more. That is why fans boo Roman Reigns we have seen the “anti-hero” role played too many times. Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, even Brock Lesnar have played the anti-hero role. It is enough already. We get it not all good guys are nice guys…whatever.

Mahal is the quintessential bad guy. (Rumors have it that Rusev will turn face and capture the WWE Title at Money in the Bank. Whatever, I am not here for it.) With the Singh Brothers, Mahal has his own faction. This is the mark of a real heel (The Heenan Family, The Million Dollar Corporation, Evolution, etc.). These heel factions defined their leaders as the best heels to grace us with their evilness. The Singh Brothers and Mahal will be no different.

I love Mahal in the spotlight, and the title adds the extra push he needed to catapult to true WWE Heel. His title reign tells a real story. He captured the title by forcing himself to the top. That is the story. Many argue that Mahal was thrust into the spotlight too fast but isn’t that what a traditional heel does? The good guy always works to the top but a truly hated heel jumps the spotlight, takes it, and devours it for himself. (Isn’t that why everyone hates Roman Reigns?)

Also, told you so. To all the "insiders" that said VinnieMac loved Orton too much to drop the belt to Mahal. Please! This is business, and if it is one think we know about VinnieMac...is he is about his business.

The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

HBK came down to the ring first. The fans clamored to get pictures of HBK...to be honest I would be too. Shawn is still in great shape, now he is the heartbreak grandpa. HHH came out next with a mask on but without the fanfare I expected. He came to the ring pretty fast and it was a pretty basic HHH entrance. He does have new ring gear which is nice. The Melbourne crowd loved HHH. Kane then came to the ring. I love how his name shows up when he walks to the ring it's pretty cool. The Undertaker's entrance of course was epic. All you saw were phones everywhere as fans attempted to snap pictures of the Deadman. The Undertaker looked great in his entrance and brought presence and prestige to the night. (Except for the gray on the sides...Undertaker I never want to see a another gray hair on your head). Fans complain about the older wrestlers taking the spotlight but the Undertaker's presence gives a PPV that extra push that makes it a classic. The match was no disq...

The New Day vs. The Bar - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

The show opened up surprisingly with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship title match. This is the second time the SmackDown Tag Team Championship has been the show opener. They were on the pre-show last PPV which technically is a dark match but it was still the first match the fans saw of the night. I am not sure what this means, perhaps the WWE just wants the New Day opening up their PPV's from now on. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as a pairing is just amazing. Their intro tag team sequence was absolutely lightening. Both of them are so coordinated and agile. Kofi shows why he is one of the best tag team champions of all time. Really great showing by these two. Sheamus and Cesaro are good but honestly not as good as Kingston and Woods. At least not as a tag team. However, they play to their strengths which is power, heel tactics and viciousness.  Of course, anyone that uses the Sharp Shooter is near and dear to my heart. I am sure that is homage to Cesaro's friend Tyson...

WWE Super Show-Down Predictions #WWE #SuperShowDown

WWE Super Show-Down will take place in Australia this weekend. While many say that it is a glorified house show, I do not think it is. I think the WWE will use this show to lay the groundwork for Evolution, Crown Jewel, and Survivor Series while simultaneously building bigger storylines. For instance, there are rumors of Kurt Angle's return and Asuka and Dean Ambrose's heel turn. Bobby Lashley and John Cena vs. Elias and Kevin Owens This is an easy match to predict. Cena and Lashley will get the win here. This will likely be the show opener so John Cena can give a big speech welcoming the crowd and exciting them for the night's matches. This will be clear-cut and simple. Delighting the Australian fans while also showing Cena's dominance in his return.  Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy  WWE Cruiserweight Championship  This match is the biggest toss up on the card. While many fans criticize WWE Super Show-Down as a glorified house show; the WWE ...
