Jinder Mahal Retains #WWE #Championship #ANDSTILL #SummerSlam #WWECHAMPIONSHIP

For all of the haters out there, Jinder Mahal is STILL the Smackdown Live Champion. I know, I am a wrestling purist and my support for Mahal confuses many out there. However, Jinder Mahal did work his way up to the top and he does deserve the spotlight he is being given. Just admit it. His heel persona is wrestling purism to its maximum. He reminds me of the old school heals that are REALLY hated, and I love him for that. I am so over the heels that the fans cheer for and the good guys the fans boo. What happened to good ole fashion good vs. bad. Well, Mahal gives us that and we should all be thankful. Without a real bad guy, Shinske wouldn't be good and neither would John Cena.

Further, I don't see Shinske being ready to be WWE Champion. If you haven't noticed, very few superstars come to the WWE from other promotions and dominate the WWE (AJ Styles is the exception). Do you want to know why? WWE is the BIG DOG when it comes to sports entertainment and no superstar bread and created in another promotion can come to the WWE and wreak havoc and become WWE champion. That would in some way insinuate the other promotion is better than WWE. Even though fans hate Mahal (not me), and despite being released and resigned, he is a WWE boy. The truth is, WWE boys should always win. (It also doesn't help that Vince was furious Shinske came millimeters from ending John Cena two Smackdown's ago).

Mahal to me is everything we needed from a champion and I am so glad that we have him. Fans may hate him, I love him. He will do anything and I mean anything to retain the WWE Championship...that is awesome!!!

P.S. If you haven't realized Mahal is so over in India it is crazy!!! Tonight's victory is already posted on the India Times' website.

His reign won't last forever, of course. It also may not last very much longer. However, Mahal has worked so hard he deserves some wins. He was at the bottom of the roster and improved and rose to the top. He has a real Cinderella story and he deserves a little more shine. The truth is, he may not get another one. I hope he continues to get better and proves everyone wrong.

Winner: Jinder Mahal
Grade: C

SummerSlam 1988 – Since we are just a few weeks away from SummerSlam 2012, I believe it is only appropriate to take a look at the very first one.

Long before I was born, okay two years before I was born, but long before I was thought of I’m sure, there was the great SummerSlam 1988. This is the historic night that set the precedent for the subsequent 22 almost 23 SummerSlams. What were the matches on that night? I’m glad you asked! The British Bulldogs (The late Davey Boy Smith and The Dynamite Kid) vs. The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond), this tag team match ended in a draw. Okay Answer for 1000 points, who are the Fabulous Rougeaus? Don’t worry I’ll wait. Buzz!!! The Fabulous Rougeaus were a tag team, duh! They were in the WWE for a short time but Jacques went on to become one half of the very popular Quebecers. Okay semi-popular Quebecers. But hey they were three time WWE tag team champions, three more than the Rockers. But in comparison to popularity…I guess championships really don’t matter *shrugs shoulders*. The late Bad News Brown defeated Ken Patera. Both of these wrestlers won competitive ...

The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

HBK came down to the ring first. The fans clamored to get pictures of HBK...to be honest I would be too. Shawn is still in great shape, now he is the heartbreak grandpa. HHH came out next with a mask on but without the fanfare I expected. He came to the ring pretty fast and it was a pretty basic HHH entrance. He does have new ring gear which is nice. The Melbourne crowd loved HHH. Kane then came to the ring. I love how his name shows up when he walks to the ring it's pretty cool. The Undertaker's entrance of course was epic. All you saw were phones everywhere as fans attempted to snap pictures of the Deadman. The Undertaker looked great in his entrance and brought presence and prestige to the night. (Except for the gray on the sides...Undertaker I never want to see a another gray hair on your head). Fans complain about the older wrestlers taking the spotlight but the Undertaker's presence gives a PPV that extra push that makes it a classic. The match was no disq...
