The Undertaker vs. Triple H - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

HBK came down to the ring first. The fans clamored to get pictures of HBK...to be honest I would be too. Shawn is still in great shape, now he is the heartbreak grandpa.

HHH came out next with a mask on but without the fanfare I expected. He came to the ring pretty fast and it was a pretty basic HHH entrance. He does have new ring gear which is nice. The Melbourne crowd loved HHH.

Kane then came to the ring. I love how his name shows up when he walks to the ring it's pretty cool.

The Undertaker's entrance of course was epic. All you saw were phones everywhere as fans attempted to snap pictures of the Deadman. The Undertaker looked great in his entrance and brought presence and prestige to the night. (Except for the gray on the sides...Undertaker I never want to see a another gray hair on your head). Fans complain about the older wrestlers taking the spotlight but the Undertaker's presence gives a PPV that extra push that makes it a classic.

The match was no disqualification...who knew?

HHH displays cockiness and confidence early in the match. He even turned his back to the Undertaker. The Undertaker eventually gained the upper-hand and walked the top rope for old school...you can see in the background all of the fans stood up in awe.

The Undertaker was knocked out of the ring and attempted to choke-slam Shawn Michaels. HHH stopped and then Shawn rammed Undertaker into the ring post. Kane then slowly chased Michaels around the ring.

Side note: Best pure striker...what does that mean Michael Cole?

For an old man, Triple H was thrown around the barricade quite often. He even was slammed onto the floor into the audience. Yikes! The brutality of this match reminds me of old school Undertaker. This was a real match not just a cheap nostalgia pop. The Undertaker even pulled down his straps.

The Undertaker attempted to fly over the top rope but he hit Undertaker with a chair. Kane stopped further attack and that landed him going through the table. Considering he is the youngest person involved in the match of course the table spot was for him. HHH went through the table with Kane as well.

Undertaker scooped HHH for a tombstone, however, HHH kicks out. We all saw this coming. What we didn't see coming was the Undertaker knocking out Mike Chioda. Geesh! The Undertaker had HHH's head lodged in a table to probably do something brutal and HBK jumped on the rope to beg for HHH. HHH then jumped in the ring and was knocked out of it by the Undertaker.

HHH hit the Undertaker with a spine buster. He eventually hit the Undertaker with a pedigree. A new official is now in the ring but the Undertaker kicked out. That was one of the closed two counts I have ever seen. HHH then lodged the Undertaker's head in the chair and jumped off the top rope onto the chair. Kane pulled the referee out of the ring before he could count the three.

HBK slid the Undertaker a sledge hammer and Kane slid the Undertaker chair. HHH hit Undertaker's chair with the sledge hammer and it hit Undertaker in the face. However, there is no referee there for the count. The Undertaker then got HHH in the Hells Gate as HHH choked him with the sledge hammer while in the move. Both men break the move.

The fans in the arena clap in shear appreciation for this match.

HBK grabs the sledge hammer and hits Kane with it. The Undertaker threw HBK out of the ring. The Undertaker then grabbed the sledge hammer. HHH set Undertaker up for a pedigree, the Undertaker reversed it and choke slammed HHH.

He prepared HHH for a tombstone and Shawn hit a sweet chin music. Shawn missed the second one. HHH hit Undertaker with a sledge hammer and a pedigree.

HHH then picked up the victory.

The Brother's of Destruction then destroyed Shawn Michaels and HHH. Shawn Michaels was choke slammed through the announce table.

The Brother's of Destruction then walked down the aisle together and left HHH and Shawn Michaels laid all around the ring.

Grade: A+

This match was match of the night. The story telling the length of time. These old guys gave it everything they had. Really amazing match.

The New Day vs. The Bar - WWE Super Show-Down Results and Grades #SSD #WWE

The show opened up surprisingly with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship title match. This is the second time the SmackDown Tag Team Championship has been the show opener. They were on the pre-show last PPV which technically is a dark match but it was still the first match the fans saw of the night. I am not sure what this means, perhaps the WWE just wants the New Day opening up their PPV's from now on. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as a pairing is just amazing. Their intro tag team sequence was absolutely lightening. Both of them are so coordinated and agile. Kofi shows why he is one of the best tag team champions of all time. Really great showing by these two. Sheamus and Cesaro are good but honestly not as good as Kingston and Woods. At least not as a tag team. However, they play to their strengths which is power, heel tactics and viciousness.  Of course, anyone that uses the Sharp Shooter is near and dear to my heart. I am sure that is homage to Cesaro's friend Tyson...

WWE Super Show-Down Predictions #WWE #SuperShowDown

WWE Super Show-Down will take place in Australia this weekend. While many say that it is a glorified house show, I do not think it is. I think the WWE will use this show to lay the groundwork for Evolution, Crown Jewel, and Survivor Series while simultaneously building bigger storylines. For instance, there are rumors of Kurt Angle's return and Asuka and Dean Ambrose's heel turn. Bobby Lashley and John Cena vs. Elias and Kevin Owens This is an easy match to predict. Cena and Lashley will get the win here. This will likely be the show opener so John Cena can give a big speech welcoming the crowd and exciting them for the night's matches. This will be clear-cut and simple. Delighting the Australian fans while also showing Cena's dominance in his return.  Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy  WWE Cruiserweight Championship  This match is the biggest toss up on the card. While many fans criticize WWE Super Show-Down as a glorified house show; the WWE ...
